DarkSweep is a browser extension that applies a dark theme to websites. This policy explains what data the extension handles. The short version: DarkSweep collects nothing.

What DarkSweep does

DarkSweep changes the appearance (colors) of the web pages you visit, directly in your browser. All processing happens locally on your device.

What data DarkSweep collects

None. DarkSweep:

• does not collect, store or transmit any personal data
• does not read or record your browsing history
• does not track your activity, clicks or keystrokes
• does not use analytics, cookies or remote services
• does not sell or share any data with third parties

What stays on your device

Your settings (on/off state, brightness/contrast/sepia/saturation values and per-site overrides) are saved locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you uninstall the extension.

Permissions

• Host permissions (all websites) — required for the single purpose of applying the dark theme to the pages you visit. Page content is only processed locally to compute colors, and is never read, stored or sent anywhere.
• Storage — saves your settings locally on your device.
• Scripting — used only at install/update to apply the dark theme to tabs that are already open.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this same address with an updated date.
